All well on the eastern front, says Sikorski as concern mounts over US missile U-turn

The United States has sought to placate Polish fears that an anti-missile system that Poland has agreed to host will not fall victim to American desires to improve relations with Moscow.
In a visit that received Polish approval US Assistant Secretary of State Stephen Mull met Radek Sikorski, Poland’s foreign minister, to convince Warsaw that America will respect its interests.
“I'm reassured," Mr Sikorski told reporters after the meeting. “We know that a decision will be taken by the United States and its Polish and Czech allies, and not by third parties. And that's good news.”
