In football news goalkeeping veteran Jerzy Dudek has extended his contract with Real Madrid, ending speculation that Birmingham and Feyenoord might sign him over summer. Dudek, a living legend following his European Cup Final heroics four years back, is seen as a stand in for first choice Iker Cassillas, but seems unfazed by his lack of first team football. ‘Two years with Real Madrid have passed very quickly. I feel happy here in Spain, even though I have not has many opportunities to present my skills in official matches’, Dudek told assembled press.
