Former MP nabbed over Stanczak murder

Police in Pakistan have arrested a former politician for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping and beheading of Polish engineer Piotr Stanczak.
Shah Abdul Aziz, a cleric and former MP with the Islamic National Assembly, was apprehended after the main suspect in the case, a militant named Attaullah Khan, told police he had killed the Pole on Aziz's orders.
“The whole plan was conceived by him. [Aziz] also acted as a middleman for the Taliban in negotiations with the government,” a police spokesman told the Pakistani daily Dawn.
