Rip-off University to close

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education is to close down Poland's biggest private university.
The Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz educates 35,000 students, but despite high fees (PLN 3,600), lectures are often cancelled and many students are denied easy access to libraries.
“We tried to induce the academy to improve its teaching standards but this hasn’t brought any improvement. So we had to take special measures,” says Bartosz Loba from the Ministry. ...
