Doda dropped over Bible row

Controversial singer Doda has been banned from state-owned television after the station took offence to comments she made about the Bible that implied it was written by people under the influence of alcohol and narcotics.

The head of TVP took the move after Doda—or Dorota Rabczewska to give her full name—made her provocative statement during a television interview when a journalist asked her if she believed in the Bible.

“I believe in nature and mother earth,” she replied. “It is hard to believe in something that was written by someone who drank hot wine and herbs”.

This provoked a rapid and clear response from the powers at TVP.
