Radwanska US Disaster

Number twelve seed Agnieszka Radwanska crashed out of the US Open in the second round this week, losing 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to outsider Maria Kirilenko. Russian-born Kirilenko, ranked 54th in the world, smacked a staggering forty winners past a clearly overwhelmed Radwankska, sending Poland’s number one home with little to show from her American campaign. Radwanska Junior, Urszula, had earlier lost in the first round 6-4, 6-4 to Kristina Barrois, wrapping off nothing less than a disastrous week for Team Radwanska. Poland’s other hope, 23 year old Marta Domachowska, also fell in the first round, defeated 6-2, 2-6, 3-6 by Zahlavova Strycova. ...
