Confusion over EU voting

Almost fifty percent of Poles do not realise that they are voting directly for candidates in the European Parliament according to Gazeta Wyborcza.

The study, conducted by the OBOP polling centre for the Institute of Public Affairs, found that only 57 percent understood that the euro deputies were voted in directly, while 21 percent believed they were elected into power by separate European parliamentarians. Almost a fifth of those who took part in the poll were not able to answer the question. ...
