ABW take ZUS boss into custody
The head of Poland’s Social Insurance Service (ZUS) has been arrested on six charges of corruption, along with four other employees, three of whom have been charged.
Agents from the Internal Security Agency (ABW) entered ZUS HQ in Warsaw Tuesday morning, seizing the 41-year old president Sylwester Rypinski.
At the same time, ABW officers is Szczecin carried out morning raids on the homes of Tadeusz D., the director of the Szczecin branch of ZUS, his deputy Jan A., manager of investment and government procurement Leszek Sz., and a private businessman known as Henryk M.
