I need a bed at least 230cm long in order to get a good night’s sleep
Lodz is currently hosting the EuroBasket 2009 tournament, a prestigious event that has brought with it an unusual problem for the city’s hoteliers as the beds are too short.The Spanish basketball team complained recently after being forced to sleep in a Warsaw Novotel that had beds measuring a whopping 220cm, but which weren’t long enough for the elongated sport stars. The problem is that the four-star hotel in Lodz selected to host the athletes has even shorter beds, measuring a measly 200cm. Filip Kenig, an associate of Poland’s NBA star Marcin Gortat, and himself measuring 200cm, commented, “It’s absurd, I need a bed at least 230cm long in order to get a good night’s sleep.” ...
