TVP boss sacked, but doesn't go

The head of Poland’s state-owned television centre, Piotr Farfal, has been sacked, but has refused to allow his successor into the building, mirroring the farcical incident that occurred last week when he refused to admit the Board of Governors.

Boguslaw Szewdo, the acting president of TVP, Poland’s biggest television station, found himself persona-non-grata on the orders of his predecessor, Piotr Farfal.

An angry Mr Farfal, who had been dismissed by the network’s management board on grounds of incompetence, told security not to issue the new boss with a pass.

This left Mr Szwedo fuming.
