NKVD massacre officers named

The Institute of National Remembrance in Warsaw has received documents from Ukraine’s secret service containing the names of some of the NKVD officers responsible for the 1940 Katyn massacre.
The information explains who the officers were and that the killing of the 350 Poles in the Roviensky oblast during 1939 and 1940 was an attempt to ‘decapitate’ Polish society by murdering a whole class of intellectuals, officers, landowners and others.
The killings were just part of the slaughter of over 20,000 Polish officers by the Soviet NKVD. ...
