Anti-corruption Bureau chief sacked

The prime minister gave Mariusz Kaminski, the chief of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA), his marching orders after prosecutors claimed that he had encouraged CBA agents to forge documents and offer bribes of up to PLN 3 million during an investigation into possible corruption involving the sale of land.
In the wake of the original investigation, which dates back to 2007, Andrzej Lepper, then agriculture minister, was fired and two ministry officials arrested and accused of using their position to get land re-zoned.
