Shipyard saga rumbles on

The saga of the failed privatisation of the Gdynia and Szcecin shipyards continued this week, with Treasury Minister Aleksander Grad and former head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) Mariusz Kaminski trading accusations of failing to inform one another of problems that arose during the auction of the shipyards.
According to an "anticorruption protection" program initiated last year, the government is required to draw up a list of companies that should be investigated by state security agencies in relation to privatisation and other business activities that could be illegally influenced by government officials.
