PKP to issue refunds for late trains
PKP Polish National Railways is to begin reimbursing passengers for train delays on December 4, when an EU directive regarding passenger rights and responsibilities goes into effect.It says passengers must receive a twenty-five percent discount for a train that is an hour late and a fifty percent discount for a train delayed by 2 hours or more. The Sejm voted to delay implementation of the rule until 2011, but President Kaczynski sent the bill to the Constitutional Tribunal instead of signing it.
