The Baltic Arena became the subject of yet another heated debate this week after Lechia Gdansk, who will play their matches in the stadium after the Euro 2012 Championships, signed a multimillion zloty agreement with sporting rights trader Sportfive, dependent on Lechia being granted rights to manage the stadium. Gdansk President, Pawel Adamowicz, responded in no uncertain terms on Radio Gdansk, saying “They’re counting their chickens before they’re hatched and trying to put pressure on the Gdansk authorities.” He continued his outburst, adding, “If any business or sporting body thinks they’re going to earn on the new stadium, they’re very much mistaken.
