Skeletons found in Wroclaw

Archeologists have found 14 skeletons in the basement of a cathedral in Wroclaw, situated on Ostrow Tumski.


The remains include pregnant women and children - with some of the skeletons still clutching fragments of rosaries and other religious objects.

“The bodies appear to have been buried quickly and carelessly. They are probably the victims of the Napoleonic wars,” said Kamil Marcinkiewicz, excavation leader. ...
