Same-sex marriage in Poland

Poland has witnessed its first same-sex marriage.
Hailing from the small town of Wolin, Richard G. and his partner, who were tolerated by their neighbours, finally tied the knot in Szczecin - albeit via a humanistic wedding.
The ‘humanist’ wedding varies from a traditional church wedding, as it carries no legal force, can include two people of the same sex and must be held “before the people” and not God.
