Gas deal signed at last

A deal for gas supplies has been hammered out between Poland and Russia in Moscow after months of negotiations and a number of delays.The Ministry of the Economy announced the agreement on Thursday in a press release without providing details on the price or amounts included in the contract.
The two sides had come close to an agreement just three weeks ago, when they met in Warsaw for a first round of talks. However, technical details and some legal issues required further time for clarification.
The delay had caused some to worry that Russia might be dragging its feet in an effort to put pressure on Poland to make concessions. The government claimed these fears were ungrounded.
