Robert Lewandowski, the revelation of last season and eventual top scorer, could be on his way to English Championship side Leicester following a daring move by the promotion contenders to sign the doyen of Polish football.
Lewandowski has made no secret of his desire to leave Lech Poznan, and Borussia Dortmund and Livorno are also understood to be keeping tabs on the 21-year-old forward. Lewandowski has recovered from a slow start to the season to hit nine goals in fifteen games, and was named Ekstraklasa Player of the Year last week.
Auxerre’s Ireneusz Jelen has been voted Polish Player of the Year and Artur Sobiech the Young Player of the Year. ...
