Wisla Five Points Clear

Wisla Krakow extended their lead at the top of the Ekstraklasa table to five points following a 3-1 win away at fourth placed Ruch Chorzow.

Andrzej Niedzielan opened the scoring for Ruch Chorzwo on the hour mark, but the defending champs hit back with a three goal blitz in the closing twenty minutes.

It was a goalless stalemate at Zaglebie Lubin, where second place Legia failed to breakthrough a stubborn Lubin rearguard action.

Elsewhere Lech Poznan’s 1-1 draw with Piast Gliwice made it eight games unbeaten, taking the Poznan side to third, while Cracovia have put their early season woes behind them with a fourth consecutive victory seeing them go ninth.
