MPs call for naming and shaming of paedophiles

Politicians from Law and Justice (PiS) have launched a campaign to get pictures and personal information of convicted sex offender made public.

MPs from Poland’s largest opposition party have decided to push for a name-and-shame law for people convicted of rape and sexual crimes against children.

“So far courts could have decided whether they wanted to make sexual offenders’ names public. We want the practice to become a rule,” said Andrzej Dera, author of the draft law.
