The Polish-American Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) was signed in Warsaw last week.
The deal, which has been under negotiation for the past 14 months, paves the way for Patriot missiles and US troops to be stationed in Poland next year as part of an upgrading of NATO air defences in Europe.
“This is an important moment in the current cooperation between the US and Poland,” said Minister of Defence, Bogdan Klich.
