The design for a massive new shopping mall accompanying Wroclaw’s football stadium was unveiled this week. The profits from the centre are to go to the city’s football team and provide the resources for them to launch an assault on the Polish league and even European competition.

The mall is to be built at a cost of PLN 150mln and to that end the Slask team has borrowed the moneys from a bank and will be repaying PLN 20mln per annum for the next 25 years. The club hopes not only to repay the debt, but to earn an extra PLN 20mln every year.
