Polish troops are to leave Iraq by next October, the government announced on Dec. 18. Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government has set a firm date of next October for Poland’s pullout from Iraq, asking President Lech Kaczyński to approve plans to remove the country’s 900 troops and end four years of support for the US-led occupation.
