The Polish league wrapped up for its annual winter break with Wisla Krakow sitting on top of the pile, five points clear of second place Legia Warszawa.

A 33rd minute strike from Marcelo was enough to seal victory for Wisla over Zaglebie Lubin, a result that leaves the visitors stranded in the relegation zone. Legia keep up the heat following a 1-0 win over Arka Gdynia, while Lech Poznan extended their unbeaten run to nine games following a 2-0 win over Korona Kielce. A late brace from Tomasz Mikolajczyk was enough to secure the points for third placed Lech.
