Obraniak is French but had a Polish grandfather
Ludovic Obraniak is set to become Poland’s most expensive player after his club side Lille slapped a five million euro price on his head. =
The French-Polish footballer has been left to rot in the reserves, and with his contract due to expire in 2011 Lille have opted to put him on the market. ‘Obraniak is highly rated in Germany’, his agent told press, ‘he’d fit in well in the Bundesliga and German clubs are aware of this’. Borussia Moenchengladbach and Wolfsburg are rumoured to be leading the chase for his signature. Obraniak was called up to the Polish side by Leo Beenhakker this summer, and hopes a move will ignite his international prospects. ...
