President promotes stray mongrel to First Dog

President Lech Kaczynski has rescued a stray dog he found wondering around a petrol station and promoted it to First Dog.

The soft-hearted president decided to keep the stray mongrel, which looks like a cross between a Jack Russell Terrier and a Corgi, and place her among his entourage.

The mongrel's name is Lula and will take place next to the president's First Cat - Rudolf Valentino - and his wife, the First Lady Maria Kaczynska.

Last month the president's other pet dog, Tytus, died of old age. ...
