Modernisation work is continuing apace at Gdansk’s Rebiechowo Airport, with an agreement in place for the construction of a new taxiway at a total cost of PLN 45 mln. Airport authorities signed an agreement for the project with the SKANSKA company this Monday and construction is due to start next month.

The new taxiway will measure almost 2.6km in length, have eight access points to the runway and be equipped with modern lighting systems; this will enable the airport to increase aircraft movements (take offs and landings) from twelve to thirty per hour.
