Scientists from the chemistry department of Gdansk Polytechnic announced this week that they have created a sweet with medicinal properties.Dr Agnieszka Bartoszek told reporters from Dziennik Baltycki, “The anthocyanins in our sweets reduce the risk of cardiac diseases and cancers. They’re a high quality product. The ingredients are based on our knowledge of the healthy action of antioxidants. The chews look just like any other sweet you might find on the shop shelves. They come in two flavours, aronia berry and honeysuckle. The honeysuckle fruit has properties that help reduce the size of cancerous tumours while they are still growing.
