A historic building blocking the revitalization of Elblag’s city centre will be moved to a spot 2 km away - brick by brick.

The move will cost almost PLN 4 mln and authorities say that each brick has been marked to avoid confusion.
Joanna Urbaniak of the municipal office says “The building will be moved to the historic Granary Island, which is to be given a makeover with the goal of attracting tourists. This will allow the widening and modernization of an important road running through the city.”
