A Polish man believes he has uncovered a mystical stone that has the power to cure the sick and diseased.

Jacek Slominski of Bialystok claims to have found the magic rock in his garden during the demolition of his 100 year old house.

“I went over to it, placed my hands on it and felt this amazing positive energy emanating from it. I actually believe that in the past it was used as part of some prehistoric ritual. Now, it’s like it’s acting as a talisman protecting us from evil,” says Slominski.

The oddly shaped stone has a strange ‘Z’ like sign across the front face, which has only added to the mystery and intrigue.

“The energy it radiates is so high that it registers at around 10,000 units on the Bovis scale. Because of this, being near it can improve a person’s well-being or help to heal them of certain health problems,” he adds.

While some may have simply laughed off the notion as ludicrous, it seems that Slominski is not alone in his thinking. In fact many in the local area have flocked to witness the stone first hand and some have even claimed that they have been cured of diseases and ailments.

“At first I was dubious as to what all the fuss was about. I’ve never been a great believer in things like magic and spells and so on,” says Emilia Trzeciak, who lives not far from where the stone was discovered. “But my friends convinced me to go and see if it did anything to help my backache - and it did. I don’t know if it’s psychosomatic, but it certainly feels much better.”
