Poland defeated Bulgaria 2-0 in Warsaw this Wednesday evening. At first, it was difficult to work out who was playing, as Poland dropped their traditional red and white colours, appearing in an unusual navy blue strip with red and white only on the sleeves.
The first half was as stodgy as the pitch, until in the 42min the ball broke to Blaszczykowski in space on the right just outside the area. He pushed into the box, tormenting a couple of defenders on the way, before curving in a delicious shot with the outside of his boot.
