The free press has come under fire from disgruntled MPs
Politicians want to change the press laws following a series of articles apparently labelling them as “lazy, drunken, spongers”.
A selection of MPs have rallied together and bridged the political divide in order to protect, they claim, their honour and that of parliament.
“We are not lazy, drunken, spongers,” said MP Izabela Jaruga-Nowacka from the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) and the head of the parliamentary ethics committee. “The speaker of parliament should respond to these defamatory articles and defend the reputation of parliament.”
