Kornelia Marek has been found guilty of using banned substances
Kornelia Marek, a member of Poland’s successful Winter Olympics squad, was found guilty on Tuesday of using the banned EPO performance enhancing drug when scientists confirmed her B sample had also come back positive. The scandal has tarnished the memories of the team’s most successful ever Games and enquiries are now underway to establish the scale of the problem and, crucially, who provided and administered the banned substance.
