An estimated PLN 1 mln worth of cannabis was discovered
Police have uncovered what they believe to be the largest cannabis plantation ever discovered in Poland.
The 1,000 square metre room in the small village of Radzwice, Wielkopolska, located underneath a dry cleaners, contained over 10,000 hemp plants, which, along with 150 kg of dried plant and 40 kg of ready packaged marijuana, is worth an estimated PLN 1 mln.
The chamber had been specially adapted for the purpose of growing the plant, featuring specialised lighting and a fully automated and computerised irrigation system. Housed inside were plants at various stages of development - from tiny seedlings to fully grown 1.5 metre high bushes ready to be prepared for sale.
