As part of its policy of fostering pro-democratic movements in Belarus, the Polish government launched a new TV station this week.

As part of its policy of fostering opposition and pro-democratic movements in Belarus, the Polish government launched a new TV station this week. Belsat, a general interest service carrying news and entertainment, started operating on Monday to the authoritarian regime of Aleksandr Lukashenko, who has accused Poland in the past of subersive activities in Belarus.
