A university professor and former government minister has been caught plagiarising from the internet.

In her new book, former treasury minister Aldona Kamela-Sowinska copied the majority of the introduction from online encyclopaedias such as Wikipedia and Sciaga.pl.

“There is no need to cry over the spilt milk. And I’m not going to bury my head in the sand,” said Kamela-Sowinska, adding that while she merely copied a few facts, many academics lift entire parts for their dissertations. ...
