Former Polish boxing champion Przemysław Saleta was battling for his life this week after falling ill following his donation of a kidney to his daughter.
Former Polish boxing champion Przemysław Saleta was battling for his life this week after falling ill following his donation of a kidney to his daughter. At the time of going to press, doctors said Saleta’s condition had improved substantially, but he remained on a ventilator in the intensive care division of a Warsaw hospital. Doctors put the boxer into a “chemical coma” after he suffered breathing complications during the operation, reportedly due to a blood clot in the lungs.
