Residents rebelled and lodged protests against 21 of the 23 proposed sites, bringing the investment to a halt.
Proposals for a wind farm in the district of Malechowo have been scuppered after residents discovered they had been misled over the size of the investment. Plans for the wind farm have been in progress since 2006, but were apparently for seventeen wind turbines generating two megawatts of power.It later turned out, though, that the wind farm was to cover an area of 600 hectares and comprise twenty-three turbines.
