Outside of work, the kaczynskis were good neighbours
When not in office, Lech Kaczynski apparently found time to be a good neighbour.
Speaking of Lech and his wife Maria, one neighbour from their private Warsaw home in the Powisle district said; “They were wonderful people who were always polite and were interested in the everyday goings on in and around them.”
“There were no airs and graces. You would never have guessed that he was a president at all.”
