Anders Hoegstroem, the brains behind the theft of the Auschwitz sign, has stated that he fears for his family’s safety.

The Swede, currently being detained in a Polish prison has spoken out about being attacked with a needle before being arrested and claims to have already received as many as 62 separate death threats for his role in the job.

Now worried about his immediate family, he has asked authorities on home soil to keep his house address secret.

But according to Swedish daily Sydoestran, this request has not been upheld, leading him to take up the case with the Citizens’ Ombudsman. ...
