The Railwaymen of Lech Poznan steamed to their sixth league title last Saturday with a 2-0 win at home over Zaglebie Lubin. The goals were scored by Kedziora (own-goal) and Robert Lewandowski, his 18th strike of the season earning him the golden boot as top scorer. Meanwhile Wisla Krakow only managed a 1-1 draw with Odra Wodzislaw, resigning them to second place in a season where they have failed to shine, losing a manager along the way.

The result meant Lech pipped defending champions Wisla to the top by three points, following last week’s dramatic midweek results which tipped the balance in favour of the team from Wielkopolska. There followed a night of wild celebrations in the town s ...
