Świnoujście is celebrating the 150th anniversary of its lighthouse, the tallest in Poland and one of the largest in the world.
The lighthouse is 68 metres (223 ft) tall and its light can be seen as far as 46 kilometres away. It is one of 15 such structures on Poland’s Baltic seacoast. Since being refurbished several years ago, it is open to visitors.
