Tuned in for election debate

TVP has invited all 10 presidential candidates to meet on air for a special series of election debates.

With just over three weeks left until voting day, the channel is organising the head-to-head meetings, teaming candidates up with those of similar standing and popularity, according to the polls.

“We have sent a letter to all of the headquarters and so far the vast majority have responded in a positive manner,” said TVP spokesman Stanislaw Wojtera. “We have a detailed schedule for the dates which we wish to discuss with each office. We have our own proposals of course, but we want to take into consideration the most suitable times for all concerned.”
