Komorowski has made his pro-euro stance clear
Bronislaw Komorowski, Poland’s acting head of state and presidential candidate, put his weight behind making euro adoption a priority, apparently contradicting an earlier statement urging caution when it came to introducing the common currency.
In a speech broadcast on television, Mr Komorowski, who is the candidate for the governing Civic Platform (PO) party, said that whoever wins the presidential election should support ditching the zloty for the euro.
“All state institutions, the future president and the current parliament have the duty of supporting the government’s determination to adopt the euro without delay,” he said.
