Jaroslaw Kaczynski was subject to embarrassment this week when his chauffeur was caught speeding.

Police stopped the silver Saab, with Kaczynski inside, as it hurtled past another car at 140 km per hour en route to Lublin, where the PiS presidential candidate was due to meet with voters.

In addition to the mandatory five penalty points, the driver received a PLN 200 fine.

“The driver was detained by police for overtaking at a dangerous speed,” confirmed police spokesman Krzysztof Hajdas.
