“Consensus builds because Poland is most important!” With these words Bronislaw Komorowski ended his speech at 8pm on Sunday evening when it became apparent that the Civic Platform (PO) candidate had won the race to be the new President of Poland. Law and Justice (PiS) candidate Jaroslaw Kaczynski shortly after conceded defeat and announced, “I should, as good manners dictate, congratulate the victor, congratulations Bronislaw Komorowski.”
