Sopot City Hall have reached an agreement with a bottled water producer to distribute thousands of free bottles of water this weekend in connection with the scorching temperatures. The operation will begin this Friday near the Centrum Haffnera, in front of the Dom Zdrojowy, or Spa House. The first bottles will be handed out personally by Sopot president, Jacek Karnowski and Jan Zarebski, head of the company that produces the water.

“The City isn’t paying for the water, all the costs are being met by our company,” Mr Zarebski told reporters from Gazeta Trojmiasto. Sopot City Hall will be looking after the distribution of the bottles, though. Magda Jachim, Sopot’s press officer explai ...
