Poles admit to high sex drive

Polish women are amongst the most sexually active in Europe according to a new study.

The research, conducted by Pan European FC shows that Poland ranks third highest when it comes to female sex drive, with almost half of the 1,000 women asked (43 percent) stating that they have sex more than once a week.

Out of the 18 different nations that took part in the study, only two countries came above Poland; Greece (44 percent) and Russia (49 percent).

But while Polish women scored high in the frequent sex stakes, they also proved to be extremely careful when it came to taking precautionary measures.

Eleven out of the 18 countries that took part marked the pill down as their contraception of choice, whereas in Poland, condoms came top of the list. As well as admitting a fear of the hormonal side-effects and synthetic chemicals that are associated with the pill, many Polish women (44 percent) said that a fear of forgetting to take it on a daily basis was their main reason for using alternative safety measures.

Before deciding on which form of contraception to take, females in Poland very often visit a gynaecologist to discuss which method is best for them. This is in contrast with many other countries, namely Britain where family planning clinics are available and as a result, a more popular choice.

One in three Poles however, stated that they would always consult their partners before making a final decision.
The aim of the research, which quizzed over 24,000 females aged 15 - 49 from all across Europe, was to gain a better understanding of the needs and lifestyle requirements of the modern woman.
