Lech lost 1-0 to Sparta Prague
This week has been a disaster for Polish teams in Europe, with all of its teams losing important fixtures, meaning they almost all face elimination before August has begun. The losses were not even to superior sides, but mostly to minnows that even diehard fans have barely heard of.
Lech kicked off with a 1-0 loss to Sparta Prague on Wednesday, but at least have the consolation of Europa league football if they fail to overturn the result in the home leg next week. Thursday evening though brought a catalogue of disaster for the teams hoping to join them in the Europa league.
